Hokkaido Trip: Day 2 @ Sapporo/Otaru
Day 1: 28th June 2017 (Wednesday)
After driving for about one and a half hour from Noboribetsu, we finally arrived at the capital city of Hokkaido, Sapporo town. I enjoyed the scenery a lot while driving. Songs from Astrobunny surely made the driving journey an even more enjoyable one despite feeling exhausted from sleep deprivation during the flight. Astrobunny is a Taiwanese group whom I like a lot as the tune of their songs are magical and out-of-worldly beautiful.

We parked our car in the hotel carpark and immediately proceeded into checking in at Sapporo View Hotel Odori Koen which is located right next to Odori Park. The room is cosy and clean and the bathroom also comes with a bath tub.
First thing first, EAT. Sapporo is famous for its ramen so you surely cannot miss the famous Ramen street.
One of the famous Ramen shop at Ramen street, Sapporo Ramen Yokocho. It didn't open when we arrived so we settled in another Ramen shop opposite to it.
A big bowl of Ramen with creamy broth and tons of fried garlic slices. Super yummy!
We had coffee and cake at Miyakoshiya. They serve really good coffee with fresh whipped cream. You cannot find whipped cream as good as this in Malaysia!
Day 2: 29th June 2017 (Thursday)
Vibrant colour flowers are everywhere!
Lunch at a cafe nearby. Food is just ordinary but I love the ambience.
Drove another one hour to Otaru right after we had our lunch. So basically we just spent about a day in Sapporo and had to skip some sight seeing activities. There are some historical buildings, Beer factory and also white chocolate factory where you can spend your time at if you have additional day to spend.

The famous Otaru Canal. Again we parked our car at 7-11 carpark as it is just right behind the canal area.
And it's time to take out the tripod and make good use of it! Passers-by are amazed by the fact that I had a tripod with me and they kept glancing at me out of curiosity.

Picturesque perfect.
From Otaru canal, you can walk for about 10 minutes to Sakaimachi street where you can find many souvenir shops, shops selling glassware and also dessert shops!
Bought some souvenirs from Kitakaro main shop.
Next stop is Gin no Kane where you can take home Hello Kitty cups for free!
LeTAO which has really good cakes!
Lovely cafe on the second floor which serves a choice of 3 cakes with 2 drinks in a set.
Lunch at a famous sushi shop. We initially wanted to go to Masazushi (政寿司)but it was closed on Thursday so we ended up in another sushi shop, Asahi Sushi(旭寿司)located at sushi street.
Local beer is a must!
Price is slightly on the high end side as the set includes sea urchin sushi as well. I personally didn't find it quite to my liking as my initial expectations were quite high given that how people around me boasted about the tastiness of sea urchin.
